Obituary of Harry Strybosch

Harry Strybosch, in his 94^th year, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy. Loving husband of 53 years to Josephine (2003) and special companion to Liz Glenn for his last 12 years. 

Father of JoAnn (Madan 1981) (Adrian 2012), Martin (Debbie), Wilma (Robert), Tony (Doreen), Harry (Patricia), Joe (Myrna), Putts (Kathy), and Liz (Alan). Beloved Opa to 24 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. 

Born April 12, 1924 in Neerkant, Netherlands, Harry immigrated with his bride in 1950, leaving his 13 siblings behind. Harry gave generously to his community. Harry will be remembered for his hot dogs at Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Elementary School where he served for 28 years as the Charge Custodian. Harry worked for All Saints Church as a custodian and usher, delivered for the St. Vincent de Paul Economy Shop, and worked for the Cemetery Board as caretaker for 45 years.  

Harry’s family would like to thank the staff at Sprucedale for their amazing dedication and support. He was genuinely cared for until the end.

Visitation will take place at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Friday, March 23^rd, 2018 from 1:00 – 4:00p.m. and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at All Saints Catholic Church for one hour prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018.  Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, Strathroy.
